Peppercomm Leaders Named “PR People of the Year” by PR News
NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2012—Two members of Peppercomm’s Management Committee have been honored with PR People of the Year awards. Partners Deborah Brown and Maggie O’Neill were named the 2012 PR News Account Director and Event Marketer of the Year, respectively.
The annual PR People Awards celebrate the year’s top communicators, as well as the rising stars of the industry. The various recognitions are intended to put focus on the PR professionals responsible for some of the year’s most successful and innovative initiatives.
Deborah Brown, partner and managing director at Peppercomm, has been with the firm for almost 13 years. In addition to managing numerous accounts across multiple industries, she’s also responsible for several key initiatives, such as Business Outcomes, the agency’s proprietary measurement system, as well as its new client offering, Comedy Experience.
Partner and senior director Maggie O’Neill was also recognized as the Event Marketer of the Year for her leadership of Peppercommotions, the agency’s event marketing division. Through Peppercommotions, O’Neill develops strategies that engage consumers through immersive brand experiences. From leading Whirlpool’s 100th Anniversary campaign to petitioning the International Olympic Committee to make bartending an Olympic sport on behalf of T.G.I. Friday’s, O’Neill helps her clients drive brand awareness by creating engagement with consumers at every touch point.
