HOW WE’RE DIFFERENT PEOPLE

In 2022, a top global luxury automaker needed to inject some much-needed energy, creativity and humor back into their team.

For the past two years, the traditionally tight-knit Corporate Communications Department that spent years together in the office and on the road was now working remote, isolated at home, and executing virtual events. This U.S.-based team was also feeling the impact of being managed from across the pond and industry wide-challenges including chip shortages, supply chain disruptions and high demand.

Peppercomm created a custom program that applied the tenets of humor to regenerate the path to trust, rekindle the team’s strong bond and sense of community and disrupt traditional patterns of thinking that had plagued them for the past two years. The workshop was designed to open their minds to new ways to boost creativity, collaboration and problem-solving. Working together through a series of group and solo initiatives, the team found new ways of working together, learned a bit about their colleagues beyond the office, and had some fun along the way.

A PRE-TRAINING SURVEY SHOWED THAT WHILE DESPITE LEADERSHIP SUPPORT, THE TEAM WAS STRUGGLING WITH:

Work/life balance (33%)

Physical fitness (33%)

Zoom/remote fatigue (25%)

According to the post-session survey, over 83% of participants said the workshop opened their minds to new ways of collaborating and contributing with their team, helped them build trust with their teammates, and fostered bonds that will carry into their work moving forward.
