Wit happens

We didn’t name this newsletter Wit & Wisdom by accident. All of us at Peppercomm know that humor brings a benefit to business, and Forbes just backed us up. According to new research, leaders who use humor the right way (read: not cringeworthy dad jokes) drive better performance, creativity and retention. When done well, humor isn’t a distraction, it’s a strategic advantage. So yes, your jokes can stay, just make sure they’re landing with your team, not on them.

Finger-lickin’ funding

Speaking of humor, KFC’s latest campaign pairs boneless chicken with some bonkers startup energy. Entrepreneur Anupam Mittal stars in a spoof of over-the-top business pitches, including one for a “Boneless Bot” that serves chicken like it’s defending a PhD. The whole thing is proof that food marketing (and humor) work best when they don’t take themselves too seriously. No bots needed, just good taste and a solid punchline.

Pop, click, share

Coca-Cola’s “Share a Coke” is back, and it’s bubbling over with digital delights! Personalized cans, QR codes, and a Memory Maker app let Gen Z sip, share, and sparkle both online and IRL. A new video with “Sweet Disposition” proves Coke is still the popular choice for making memories. With a nationwide tour and endless custom options, it’s not just a campaign—it’s a fizzual revolution. Coke’s recipe for real magic is still going strong—now with a side of techy refreshment!
